Won’t security just let me through with him??? 🙁

Today is moving day! I am officially Chicago bound to stay for awhile and start this big girl adventure. These last few weeks have been crazy with all the packing, friend gatherings, and eating of home cooked meals – but I’m not complaining! I have loved every second of it and am so thankful for this last month in the Lonestar State.

My Texas tour since coming back from Europe has had me home in Houston, spending time with Eric’s family in Dallas, and one final week of shenanigans and packing (lots and lots of packing) in Austin. Watching the moving truck drive away from my ATX home a couple weeks ago was such a surreal experience. My roommate and I walked through the rooms as they emptied one by one, feeling a pang of sadness. That house was so good to us for two amazing years and I’m hoping its next residents make some precious and ridiculous memories, just like we did.

3 kayaks. 6 people. Only 2 ended up in the water for a brief moment.

The last {Whataburger} supper. It was actually lunch, but it's fine.

The fam is coming up to ChiTown to help settle me in and make a vacation out of it. So, thankfully today won’t be the hardest part – aside from saying bye to my sweet pup Gordo for a few months. Today, hopefully kicks off a week filled with excitement and DEEP DISH PIZZA. While Eric starts work soon after we move, I’ll have some time to kill, which means some time to finally sit down and blog! This makes me one happy lady, because I can share some more of Europe and all of our Chicago exploring.

I think I’ll sign off this morning with this little quote I came across while reading some articles over the weekend. Change can be hard, but change is good – and I’m ready to get this party started!

“If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living.”                          – George Bernard Shaw
