Dallas Date Night

Last night, I got to check a little something off the bucket list – a night at a drive-in movie theatre! Eric and I decided to head out to The Galaxy Drive-In about forty-five minutes from his house for a double feature and some popcorn.

It was such a cool atmosphere. Little radios blast 50s and 60s tunes while everyone sits in their convertibles, truck beds, or lawn chairs, and waits for the big show. The Texas sunset paints the sky across the field with beautiful reds and oranges and pinks. Best of all, it actually felt nice outside! The breeze kept the heat away as we chatted and sang away until our two movies started – Ant-Man and The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Both movies were good! Some of Eric’s favorite things in the world are superhero movies, so it’s always fun to watch them together and see him all giddy like a child.

I’m so happy to be in town spending some time with Eric’s sweet family this week. Dallas is a great city I’ve been glad to get to know over the last few years! I’ll always be a Houston sports fan though, let’s not get that confused. 🙂
