Um, important announcement – Banger’s Sunday brunch in Austin, Texas is one of the coolest experiences in this city. Anyone who knows me well, knows that I absolutely, positively loveeeee breakfast (evident here, here, and here…) and this particular outing has been on my ATX bucket list for a long time! I’m beyond happy I was finally able to check it out on Sunday with Eric and his brother, Pedro, who was in town to snap some senior photos for us.
We woke up early to take advantage of the morning light for our photoshoot (more on Pedro’s awesome photography skills and our little session to come!), and were ready to chow down and relax once we finished. When we got to Banger’s on Rainey Street, the line to get in was not surprisingly out the door. I had heard of how popular Banger’s brunch was, but we knew it would be worth the wait – which was totally shorter than expected.
Once seated, we quickly decided on our meals. Eric, Pedro, and I shared two of their famous “Manmosas,” a Banger’s Breakfast Sandwich, and two trays of Bang-A-Rancheros, aka two trays of Heaven. It was all so so so good, I honestly just can’t even emphasize it enough.
I had been to Banger’s before for a night out and one of the main reasons I love it is because of the set up. There’s a small indoor bar area, the huge outside seating space with long rows of wooden tables where we sat, and a small stage at the front where The Urban Achievers Brass Band performed while we ate. The band played awesome original songs and arrangements of 90s hits – you should’ve seen Pedro and I’s excitement when Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” came on.

I wish I would’ve had my Nikon to capture this all, but I think the phone camera gets across what a great time we had! Needless to say, we left so happy and incredibly stuffed. Hope that you had a good weekend filled with yummy food and people you love too!
