Sunday Funday

I absolutely love summer Sundays. It is so nice to not be on a schedule and just relax – so opposite of those Sundays during the school semester. Another great thing that often comes with Sunday, brunch.

Before brunch though, my roommate Becca and I went to Park Community Church for the first time to attend a service with her friend, Layne. I really enjoyed it! It reminded me quite a bit of the community I’m apart of in Austin so I’m really happy to have found it. What a great and refreshing way to start a day.

From church, Layne took us to grab some food at a delicious restaurant right by his place – The Golden Apple. The menu is quite large, but once I saw that breakfast was served all day, I was able to narrow it down rather quickly. We ended up making things very easy for our waitress and all ordered the Gypsy Banquet. It was so so goooood. Hash browns, two eggs, ham, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese in a skillet?? Plus pancakes (or in Becca’s case toast)?! Yes please.

After eating as much as we could, Becca and I packed up the leftovers and made our way back to the apartment. Shortly after, we took off to Grant Park for a huge FIFA watch party to see Team USA take on Portugal. Needless to say, it was crazy! So many people, but so much fun. I cannot believe Portugal came back to tie it in the last thirty seconds…ahhh can’t wait to see what happens for our guys next.
